anthology

originating in Ancient Greek anthología, "flower-gathering", from anthologéo, "I gather flowers", from ánthos, "flower", + légo, "I gather, pick up, collect".

A word that most of us associate with literary compilations, or possibly music or art cataloguing, has its etymological origin in flower picking. It likens a collection of poems or music to another art form for all five senses: a floral bouquet, a handful of beauty. Here, “anthology” has come to mean the cultivating, gathering, studying, and enjoying of beauty in the God-given form of flowers.

Sustainable growing

We use organic growing practices. Instead of using synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, we focus on the encouragement of healthy ecological balance in the soil and wildlife, minimizing waste, and stewarding the land in a way that is enriching instead of extractive.

Because of our commitment to grow organically, and simply because of the unpredictable nature of all agriculture, seasonal offerings will fluctuate during the growing season.

The whole process of flower-growing, from winter preparation and hoping, to watching and tending young plants, to sharing the blooms with loved ones in need of brightness, is a delight. Beauty makes all the difference. I hope that Anthology flowers bring you as much joy as they bring me.
